Harada hints that ‘Kid Kazuya’ being playable in Tekken 7 won’t happen

Remember back in August 2016 when we reported that Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada said ‘Kid Kazuya’ being playable in Tekken 7 would depend on demand? Well, it’s not going to happen. Some time has gone by since then and Harada-san has obviously had time to weigh the matter.

He recently said this on Twitter.
It will be bashful from several organizations. No good.
RT@MishimakiD whats ur opinion of adding a male child (10-12yo) character in TEKKEN.— Katsuhiro Harada (@Harada_TEKKEN) March 5, 2017
Apparently, placing a child in a brutal fighting game such as Tekken would be frowned upon by a few organizations. Harada already had his hands full once with an onslaught of ‘social justice warriors,’ so I’m sure he would much rather go without this headache. Sure, he could put Kid Kazuya in the game, and compared to many other games out today, it would seem divine. And among fighting games it’s nowhere near as bad as one in particular. But it’s his call.
Maybe he’ll surprise us? Doubt it.
Were you hoping Kid Kazuya would end up in Tekken 7?
