The new feature will allow players to setup their own tournaments with a max of 8 players. The organisers of the online tournaments can include single or double elimination brackets, and can give out in-game prizes to winners. A similar setup to offline tournaments. The new mode will also allow players in the tournament to spectate the games and use voice chat to commentate on the matches. Organisers can make their online tournaments either public or private (password protected), so you can choose to battle it out with friends or new players.
Online Tournament is definitely a welcome addition to Tekken. It gives all players the opportunity to play the game in a tournament setting, and with features such as spectator mode and voice and text chat/commentary, it will certainly be a fun experience. We’re already looking forward to hosting and streaming tournaments once the game is released!
