Bryan Fury Returns in Unexpected Tekken 8 Trailer Leak on Instagram
The official Tekken Instagram account released Bryan’s trailer a day early.
An unexpected turn of events took center stage at this weekend’s Combo Breaker 2023, as an upcoming Tekken 8 trailer was unintentionally published a day early on the official Tekken Instagram account. The trailer revealed the return of the iconic character, Bryan Fury, much to the surprise of fans tuned in to the Tekken 7 Top 128 matches on Saturday.

Such reveals are traditionally reserved for the climax of the event, presented on the final day after the Tekken 7 finals. The unexpected timing of this reveal left fans around the globe buzzing with excitement and speculation.
The leak caught the attention of Tekken’s Project Director, Katsuhiro Harada, who is currently attending Combo Breaker alongside colleague Michael Murray. Harada expressed his frustration with the mishap on Twitter, saying, “What the xxxx BandaiNamco Euro. That’s why I warned you years ago not to post on a timer. Well, I’m going home now thanks! Hahaha”.

Adding to Harada’s response, Michael Murray, the producer of Tekken at Bandai Namco, also voiced his disappointment. In a heartfelt message on Twitter, he apologized to fans and the development team who had been working diligently on the reveal. Murray tweeted, “I apologize to the fans who saw that particular thing in not the way @Harada_TEKKEN and I had wanted it to happen. I feel bad for all you guys and also the dev team who gave up weekends to work on it :(“.

Since the premature reveal, the video has been removed from Instagram, but news of Bryan Fury’s return in Tekken 8 has already spread throughout the Tekken community.
