The purpose of the Closed Network Test is to test the network and monitor the gameplay experience of Tekken 8. Bandai Namco states, “We aim to obtain feedback on the quality of the network and gameplay. We would greatly appreciate it if all participants could provide feedback through an online survey that we plan to send out via email after the Closed Network Test. Your valuable opinions will be used as a reference for adjustments to the battle system.”
The Closed Network Test is scheduled in two waves: the first from July 21-24 exclusive to PlayStation 5, and the second from July 28-31, open to PlayStation 5, Xbox X|S, and Steam. Registration will close on June 27th, and those selected will be notified on July 19th.
Potential testers should note that the registration page varies depending on their location:
- Asia: Tekken 8 CNT Asia Registration
- EMEA: Tekken 8 CNT EMEA Registration
- Americas: Tekken 8 CNT Americas Registration
The selection process seems to be “first come, first served” with a total of 63,311 slots available. But conflicting information on the official website mentions a random selection of winners. Therefore, it’s best to register early and hope for the best.
The Tekken 8 CNT will include Ranked mode (up to 10 rank), and will support crossplay. In an interesting twist, streaming and recording during the test will be allowed, enabling participants to share their early experiences with the game.
