Harada, Murray share how PSVR for Tekken 7 will work – It’s not what you think
While on their Latin American media tour, Tekken developers Katsuhiro Harada and Michael Murray conducted quite a few interviews. Not all of them were in English, but this particular one with gaming news site Colemono was and very in-depth. In this 35-minute interview several great topics were discussed – from Tekken 7 on Nintendo Switch, story mode, new characters possibly coming, Tekken 4 not being a fan favorite and much more. Really, much more.

One of the most interesting pieces is when they began to discuss PlayStation VR for Tekken 7. Since the first mention PSVR being included in Tekken 7, the general consensus has believed that there would likely be a way for you to fight in first person. But the Tekken developers just confirmed that this is not the case. According to Murray, it was one of the first things they tried, of course, but it wasn’t very effective. Instead it will be used to provide a more 3D environment.
The interview starts at the 21:25 timestamp.
